CTD Data

• CTD Data off the Peruvian coast collected on cruises from 1983 to 1985.
• Data files are listed by project.
• File name is 'cruisename'mat.# (WL for WELOC (R/V Wecoma long cruise),year, leg of cruise or en for R/V Endeavor, cruise number).
• Files are in ascii columnar format with columns of station number, fractional year, decimal julian day, latitude, longitude, station bottom depth, depth, temperature (° C), salinity (‰), potential temperature (°C), sigma-t, specific volumn anamoly (CL/T), dynamic height (J/KG), station name [if named in original data file].
• Missing or known bad values are specified with negative 9(s).
• Salinity was computed using standard algorithms from Fofonoff and Millard, 1983. (Algorithms for computation of fundamental properties of sea water. UNESCO Technical Papers in Marine Science, 44, 53 pp.)
